About The Villa

Open-plan living, eight gorgeous suites, and killer ocean views from the rooftop infinity pool make this dashing private villa in Playacar a top-flight refuge steps away from the sand.

Alta Vista features eight suites, each with its own large private bathroom and some with both showers and bathtubs. Five of those elegantly decorated bedrooms have king-size beds. The remainder of them consists of three cozy queen-bed suites.

Common areas are spectacular. The villa boasts a large kitchen and open living and dining areas that welcome your entire group to a luminous space where they can eat, relax, and watch some TV after a day of sun and sand. It also has two outdoor living and dining areas, one in the bottom level courtyard and the second on the rooftop terrace, where you will also find an infinity plunge pool, a bar with a plunge pool, and a BBQ.

Villa Alta Vista is located in Playacar, Playa del Carmen’s most exclusive neighborhood. It is only a two-minute walk away from the beach and 12 minutes walking distance from Playa’s famous 5th Avenue, where you will find restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

We stayed here with 12 people for a joint birthday party. The villa is exceptional. Jeremie and Diego were very responsive with booking details and questions. Every bedroom is big and has big bathrooms. Get the chef (we loved Gabriel and his staff) ! They made us breakfast every morning from scratch and it was delicious and felt like hotel service. The housekeeping comes everyday and makes adorable towel animals- very creative and sweet. Our concierge (Pako) was on call for all our needs. He did not disappoint and helped us with every type of task. We had a beach butler set up a beach front party for us with fresh mojitos, fruit kabobs, and tiki torches. They did a great job! Every time we planned something they added more than we expected, whether it was flowers, extra food, extra presentation, everything was over the top. We will definitely return. Thank you for everything!

Second to none in terms of an outstanding vacation experience. Halfway through day one when our house concierge was bringing us mojitos in the amazing house's infinity pool did we turn to each other and remark, 'why would we do this any other way?'. Anything you needed or wanted there was an answer and an option. Baby gear; check, food tour; check; sailboat; check; private chefs everyday; check, super clean homes; check. We had one issue with one 'fire show' on the beach and they sorted it out and refunded us the money. We'll be making this a mainstay for our vacations going forward.

Let me just start by saying the house was absolutely beautiful the pictures does not do it justice the house was very clean and relaxing. We felt very secure in the gated community it was very nice, quiet and not far from restaurants and bars. As for the staff Fillo was awesome always willing to help and made sure we were comfortable he was always there to answer our questions and help us with any solutions and was very polite , the chef was very polite as well and even let us help him prepare the food and he made theeee best green spicy sauce :). The rooms were always clean when we came back unless you told them not to ... as for Issa she is soooo sweet very friendly, helpful, and made it much easier for me as we were there to celebrate my husbands 40th she asked me what I wanted to do and took care of all the reservations for me so all we had to do was show up! Made the vacation that much fun and easier I would DEFINITELY stay there again it is totally worth what you pay! By the time we left we felt like they were our friends they were all so helpful with great hospitality. I wish we could of stayed longer.

Where do I even begin? At the end of last year, I started doing research about Mexico & planning my bachelorette. I knew I didn't want just a “typical” resort so I google-searched everywhere when I stumbled upon Maya Luxe. My experience with the customer service reps was AMAZING. Our stay at villa AltaVista was incredible, the family really enjoyed this time, the villa is very comfortable and we really didn't have any problems, the facilities are modern and the service really made our stay very special, the rooms are located on 2 floors, the ground floor and the basement, have large windows that provide plenty of light during the day. the pool is not heated and is located on a beautiful garden roof top, it has a bar and very comfortable lounge beds.
