The Riviera Maya may be famous for its beaches and turquoise water, but the wide array of birds is sure to compete as a top tourist attraction. On this tour, you’ll explore the abundant species of birdlife found in the region (540 species in total!) at two gorgeous sites, the Chunyaaxche Mayan community and the ruins of Muyil. We begin with a walk through the village and from there to a trail through the archeological site where you’ll walk across a boardwalk that takes you into the Sian Ka’an until you reach a stunning lagoon, Luguna Muyil. Along the way you’ll be guided by an expert who will help spot and identify bird species in the trees and where you can climb the observation tower for a breathtaking view. If you weren’t already a birder, you’re sure to become one after this.
A 5:30am pick up is suggested so you can see the most wildlife possible.
