About The Villa

Casa Los Charcos (loosely translated means House of Ponds) is a uniquely secluded hideaway surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Charcos is an Eden paradise promising privacy, tranquility, serenity, white sandy beaches, wild natural beauty, and a sophisticated, luxurious lifestyle.

Privacy, security, and excellence of service are guaranteed round the clock. It is a place where you can relax ocean side or pool side in a serene haven of your own while only minutes away from the exciting daytime activities and famous night life of Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue).
Watch golden sunsets from the amazing master bedroom of your Mediterranean-style villa while listening to a background of exotic jungle sounds, or amble barefoot along the beautiful Caribbean and the expansive white-sand beaches.

Charcos has an amazing view of the Caribbean and the island of Cozumel from one of the more than 1,000 square feet of terraces. The lot is approximately 8,000 square feet, and because of its shape and intense vegetation, it is virtually impossible to see the house and pool area from the street. Casa Los Charcos is the most private villa in all of Playacar.

The house itself is a modern, magical marvel; the perfect tropical retreat, it offers a stunning location for guests to relax and experience the peace and tranquility of the Mexican Riviera.

The 625-square-foot pool is “partially” heated (Mon – Sat) and reaches seven feet at its deepest. It has a diving board and 6 seats with jets. The house has central air-conditioning in all the bedrooms.

*Please be aware that, due to warming weather and fluctuating ocean currents, the Riviera Maya may experience the presence of naturally occurring seaweed during the hotter months of the year.

Hello Sandra, We have had an amazing experience here at Casa Los Charcos. The Villa is beautiful and the grounds are private, and lush. The pool is stunning. I will give this Villa a 5 STAR rating! We love Shu, she is so attentive, helpful and pleasant always! I will give her a 5 STAR ++++++rating. The house keepers and Jesus were sweet and very kind to us. Going above and beyond. Our family was well cared for and they all enjoyed their time here immensely. However I would not recommend this Villa for anyone with small children. This should be advertised as 12 years and older. The stairs are a death trap for small children. I was amazed by how up-dated the kitchen was and also well stocked with everything we could possibly need, Additionally the Housekeeper had snacks and fruit, coffee, cream, etc ready to go. Terrasa even prepared snacks for us in the afternoon. The Villa we rented last year through MayaLuxe was a stark difference. Those owners supplied nothing! Not even salt and pepper/ That Villa was in need of a total up-date and the Villa was in a run down neighborhood that was not secure. We were extremely disappointed with last year's experience. MAYALUXE has redeemed it's reputation with this Villa Charcos. Thank You, CarolAnn Spencer

We had a fantastic experience at casa los charcos. It’s a beautiful house and property. Perfect for our group of two families with young children. Staff and meals were fantastic. The only negatives were the seaweed was bad all week and the water supply to the house was inadequate at times. Both those issues were outside the control of the rental company.
